Just bought 2 Descoware Made in Belgium pot and pan, both white Enamel on the inside and red/orange on the outside for $10/set at Salvation Army.. I fell in love at first sight. Where can I post pictures?
Thought you might like these pictures of 44 year old set.
Still in active use.
Love them
My husband got a skillet with a wooden handle in a box from an auction. I was just wondering a little bit about it. How much we should sell it at and some of the history. It is yellow with different pictures on it. Like a cow, fish, grapes, cheese, watermelon. A little bit of everything I think. The side of the pan says Markley if that helps. I will try and send some pictures.
Hi Amanda! Ebay didn’t get rich by delivering no value. Yours is a desirable item and 1 dollar starting prices are proven to work. Most pieces sell in the $20 range. Very rare (sorry, yours isn’t) can go as high as $150.
I emailed info@descoware.com pictures of my 10 piece chocolate brown set. Did you receive the email and the attached photos?

I have a Descoware cast iron pot enameled off-white on the inside, bright red-orange on the outside (kind of two-toned red faded to orange. The pot measures 12″ in diameter and comes with the original lid. It says “Made in Belgium” on the bottom and I always thought it was a Le Crueset. After closer inspection, it is a Descoware. This was my mom’s pot, no doubt from the mid-late 1960′s or the early-mid 1970′s. I use the pot frequently for soups, meatball and tomato sauce, and for braising meats. It’s a great pot. Do you still want photos?

I tried to e-mail pictures and to ask a question about a piece of Descoware I recently obtained but your e-mail as it is written on the site will not go through.
I got my cookware from my best friends mom because she could not lift them anymore. It is my everyday cooking tool, I just love it. Heating and cooking items and letting it simmer for an hour until I’m ready to eat. Found your site looking for handles, mine are wearing out. The only thing that I have found to make them still work is to soak them in water for a day with a little olive oil. This makes the wood expand and the oil keeps it in I guess.
